
In this 6-week beginners ceramics course, students will be introduced to skills including throwing & trimming on the pottery wheel, and finishing techniques with underglazes and glazes. Basic forms on the wheel include cups, bowls, small plates and vases will be created. As students progress, slightly more complex forms and advanced techniques will be introduced. Each class will start with a demonstration by the instructor, followed by time working with clay with instructor supervision and encouragement. This class is for beginner students with little to no prior wheel experience at all. Includes 25lb clay and bisque firing. Glazing is an additional charge. Ages 18+. (Younger students (14+) may be admitted upon request, but parents would need to remain on our property during the class.)
