Ruut in Concert and Conversation
For years, Ruut has captivated audiences with her soulful, piano-driven songs. Her journey took her from Finland, traveling with her missionary mother through Eastern Europe, to the United States, where she’s built community, collaborated with renowned songwriters, and shared stages with artists, such as Trevor Hall and Passenger. Ruut recently founded Making Her Mark, a Baltimore-based nonprofit supporting women artists. Her upcoming album, Motherland, explores themes of longing, wildness, and the journey home. In 2026, Ruut tours as Finlandia Foundation’s Performer of the Year.Â
