Painting Reflections in Water – Beginner Watercolor Class w/ Stacy Lund Levy

Paint water in watercolor! This introductory watercolor class is designed for beginners and will focus on painting reflections in water. We will experiment with color mixing and paint a small summer pool, inspired by the Water World fine art exhibit taking place in the main gallery spaces.

Ages 16+.

Supply List:

Participants should bring their own water color paint pan, and a couple brushes (see below)… and thats it!

If bringing tubes of paint, be sure to have primary colors: Yellow/ Cadmium yellow, Blue/ Cobalt Blue, Red/ Alizarin Crimson. If you already have a palette of colors that you are comfortable painting with, please bring those as well.

Brushes – 1 round and 1 flat watercolor brush. #6 or #8 Round and ¼” or ½” Flat. The instructor will have a few for you to “test drive” or purchase, and Manor Mill will also have smaller sized brushes to lend as needed.

Manor Mill will Provide:

Watercolor Paper (2-3 Sheets per person)

A Variety of Small Watercolor Brushes sizes 2-6

Plastic Palettes

Small containers for water

Paper towels

Masking Tape (to attach paper)

Pencils
